Video: Amir Khan Blasts Kell Brook, Eddie Brook

YouTube video
Amir Khan to FightHype.com: “First of all, the fight with Algieri is not confirmed yet. Even if it was, I can’t believe the people who are talking shit. At the end of the day, I did say that I want to fight the top guys. Obviously I can’t fight Floyd or Manny, so Miguel Cotto was another guy I wanted, but he’s going on to fight someone else. Broner said he’d fight me, so I said let’s do it, but I heard that Broner don’t want it either…Just look at my last 10 opponents, regardless if I won or lost, and then look at Kell’s. Eddie and Kell are fooling the fans, using my name and saying I’m afraid. All I’m saying is Kell still need to prove himself by fighting A-class fighters like I have done,” stated former world champion Amir Khan, who responded to critics who questioned his decision not to face Kell Brook in a proposed June 13 showdown.

The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board: May 2 Will Crown Welterweight King and May Launch Pac Into Boxing History

The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board: May 2 Will Crown Welterweight King and May Launch Pac Into Boxing History

The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, an independent, international, noncommercial rankings organization, announces that the winner of the Floyd Mayweather Jr.–Manny Pacquiao fight on May 2 will be crowned the true welterweight champion of the world.

The 44-member board, representing 16 countries and five continents, does not acknowledge the various belts passed off as “world championships” and therefore does not acknowledge “unification” as anything more than hype. Its charter identifies the true divisional champions as those who defeat their rightful predecessor and holds that the first two ranked contenders alone can contest a vacant divisional throne.

Mayweather has been ranked #1 at welterweight since the board’s inaugural rankings were published in October 2012.

Randall Bailey Speaks Out!

Randall Bailey Speaks Out!

To the Boxing World and Al Haymon!

What’s good! It’s your favorite KO artist Randall Bailey aka The KO King! I have been sitting back watching this boxing game get more and more political and it makes me kind of sick. Unranked and unheard of fighters getting title shots that they do not deserve. Promoters not wanting to work with one another. Fighters agreeing to fights and pulling out…no names need to be mentioned. The shit is crazy. Meanwhile a former two division world champion gets passed over for opportunities.

I understand that boxing is a business but fighters are now using the “business” to become little punks. Let’s get to the point of this letter. I am not one to start any drama and today is no different. However I want to put the boxing world on notice that I am still ready and willing to knock some heads off some shoulders.

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov celebrates new world heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev

When he realized that he had really done it again, former heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev went down to his knees on Sunday night at Ahmat Arena in Grozny, Russia. It was legendary Michael Buffer who announced Chagaev’s close but well deserved majority decision win (115:113, 115:113, 114:114) over Fres Oquendo which earned the 35-year-old Uzbek the WBA heavyweight championship for the second time in his career.

No other but Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov was the first to congratulate Chagaev in the ring. While the fight lasted Kadyrov even took charge as chief second coaching “his” champion in the corner. It was the leader of the Chechen Republic who brought this world title fight to Grozny along with promoter Timur Dugazaev (TEREK Box Event). Accordingly Chagaev thanked the President for all his help and support.
