Shannon Briggs to fight Alexander Dimitrenko on Haye’s May 21st card?

With David Haye’s second comeback fight fast approaching (May 21st), there is still no official word on who Shannon Briggs will face in the chief support. As fans probably are aware, Haye and Briggs have an agreement to fight one another later in the year providing they both come through at The O2 in London next month – Haye will face little-known but unbeaten Arnold Gjergjaj in the headliner.

So who will 44-year-old Briggs, 59-6-1(52) fight on May 21st? Well, according to Briggs himself, in speaking with two sources – Fightnews and Tru School Sports – he will face Russian-born Alexander Dimitrenko on May 21st.

The unbeaten giant says so many things – some controversial some just plain daft – and not all of his outbursts truly reflect what he is thinking. So what to make of Fury’s latest statement (yes, Fury had even more to say after yesterday’s astonishing press conference in Manchester!) – that he will fight Wladimir Klitschko on July 9th and then, that’s it, he’s emigrating to Los Angeles?

Managed by the Irish legend who ruled the featherweight division for a short but shining time in the 1980s, Frampton’s next aim is to dethrone WBA featherweight king Leo Santa Cruz on July 30th. Haye claims Joshua would beat Tyson Fury now

Heavyweight king Tyson Fury will not care one jot, but David Haye – the man who twice pulled out of a fight with Fury – claims newly crowned IBF heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua would have too much for Fury if they fought “right now.” Speaking with Sky Sports, Haye went as far as to state how he doesn’t think Fury “has a shot in hell” against Joshua.
