Broner-Malignaggi square off this Saturday, June 22nd in Brooklyn, New York

broner45233Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) will get a chance to prove that he’s as good as he says he is this Saturday night, June 22nd against WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Broner sees a victory as inevitable and he had better be right because a loss for him in this fight would be a crushing blow to his dreams of being the billion dollar earner before he retires.

Broner wants to transition to being a pay per view star, but he’s going to need to blast through Malignaggi and then start facing some of the best fighters at that weight class if he wants to have any chance of realizing his dream.

Broner expects to rule the boxing world within two years

broner4534Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) believes he’s poised to be #1 fighter in boxing within the next two years, as his role model Floyd Mayweather Jr. is on the verge of wrapping up his own career after he completes the remaining 5 fights on his Showtime/CBS contract.

With Mayweather gone in the next year and a half, and Manny Pacquiao appearing to be near the end of his own career, there’s a possibility that a fighter like Broner can take over.

Broner said this as quoted by Golden Boy Promotions “I will be the ruler of boxing in a year or 2.”

If that’s the case then Broner is going to have to make sure he doesn’t have any slipups, starting with his fight on June 22nd against WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Schaefer wants Maidana to face Broner-Malignaggi winner

maidana66Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer is going to be looking to match #2 WBC, Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) up against the winner of the June 22nd fight between WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) and Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s), according to Dan Rafael of ESPN. Maidana defeated Josesito Lopez by a 6th round TKO last Saturday night in Carson, California, in a tough, tough for Maidana.

That was not an easy win despite the early stoppage. Maidana was hurt in the 4th round by some big body shots from Lopez, and the referee Lou Moret appeared to miss a knockdown of Maidana in that round.

Broner’s trainer: Adrien will be a lot stronger at 147 for Malignaggi fight

broner4534Mike Stafford, the trainer for Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s), sees Broner as being a lot stronger in moving up to 147 to face WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) next month on June 22nd in their fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Stafford sees this as a good move for Broner, saying to Sports Illustrated “Adrien will be much stronger. Paulie is not a full-fledged 147-pounder, anyway. It would be different if we were fighting a 147-pounder who has been at that weight for years.”

Malignaggi: Broner is easy work for me

malignaggi231Despite being an underdog in his fight next month against unbeaten Adrien Broner (26-0, 23 KO’s), WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) sees his fight with Broner as being one of his more easier ones he’d had in his 12-year-old career when the two meet up on June 22nd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Broner said on his social media site yesterday: “Can’t sleep a lot on my mind.”

Maidana picks Broner to beat Malignaggi; wants winner

broner000#2 WBA Marcos Maidana is picking 23-year-old Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) to defeat WBA World welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7 KO’s) in their fight on June 22nd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Maidana told esnewsreporting.com that Broner will win because he’s “too strong” for Malignaggi. Maidana then said he wants to fight Broner after he beats Malignaggi and he sees himself beating him, saying “I’m stronger. Put a lot of pressure on him.”

There’s little question that Broner will very likely beat Malignaggi in their fight on June 22nd because Broner has everything going for him in terms of speed, power, defense and youth. Malignaggi has more experience but in this case it might be enough for him to win the fight.
