With two stops done in their four-city press tour, fans in attendance, and the two fighters themselves, have had a whole lot of fun with Floyd Mayweather Junior and Conor McGregor. The stop in Toronto proved eventful, with McGregor getting off a few good lines (along with plenty of expletive language!); but Mayweather perhaps got off the best line with his challenge to his rival to bet his whole fight purse on himself if he’s so sure he will win on August 26.

Fight fans have more than likely read about superstar Floyd Mayweather’s request to the IRS to have a little time to pay off his 2015 taxes; with Mayweather reportedly wanting to use the enormous pay cheque he will receive from his August 26 bout with Conor McGregor to settle his debts to the government.

The fact that “Money” asked for a little extra time to settle his taxes inspired suggestions that the 49-0 great is having financial problems. McGregor himself told TMZ Sports that Mayweather “should of paid his taxes and stayed retired and kept my name out of his mouth.” But, in quick time, Mayweather has shot down any notion that he is struggling. Floyd took to instagram to ensure his fans that his empire is “rock solid and intact!”

The hype surrounding next month’s Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor “Super-Fight” is considerable, huge even, and seemingly everyone has an opinion on what will happen when the two superstars of their respective sports swap punches, not kicks or chokes, on August 26 in Las Vegas.

Mayweather, aged 40 and inactive for almost two full years, will face the much younger McGregor in what will be Floyd’s 50th pro fight; McGregor will be boxing his debut! But, quite astonishingly, McGregor has a great deal of support, from fans who have bet serious money on him winning, and from some experts. It’s largely MMA experts who are backing the Irishman to pull off the monster upset, so that tells you something.
