Danny Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs) will be fighting next on April 28, and his management are offering WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders the shot at facing him. Jacobs will be fighting on HBO on April 28, so Saunders will have a chance to showcase his skills to the U.S boxing fans like he did last Saturday night in beating David Lemieux.

Danny Jacobs: 100-percent I win the rematch with GGG

Former WBA middleweight ruler Danny Jacobs still believes, and he is still hoping. “The Miracle Man” fully believes he executed the perfect game-plan when he boxed world champ Gennady Golovkin back in March and that the 12 round decision that went to GGG should have gone to him – or, worst case scenario, the fight was a draw.

Jacobs, 33-2(29) in speaking with Premiere Boxing Champions, as quoted by RingTV.com, said he is absolutely certain he wins the rematch with the unbeaten Triple-G if there is one.

Up until his controversial September draw with Canelo Alvarez, world middleweight king Gennady Golovkin had never been pushed farther, or closer than when he met Daniel Jacobs in March of this year. As fans know, “Miracle Man” Jacobs was ultra-competitive against Triple-G (suffering a flash knockdown but at no time really appearing hurt or buzzed), eventually losing via close, some said controversial, decision.

Former middleweight titlist Danny Jacobs enjoyed a winning debut under new promoter Eddie Hearn; and Hearn’s claim that “The Miracle Man” is the second or third best middleweight in the world was very possibly validated last night in New York.

Shutting out a game (he claims injured) Luis Arias over 12 one-sided rounds, Jacobs scored himself a fine win to close out the year. Now hungry to rule the world again (Jacobs holding the WBA belt from 2014 until his March defeat to Gennady Golovkin), the 30 year old says he will be travelling to Canada to watch the December 16 battle between WBO champ Billy Joe Saunders and challenger David Lemieux.

EDDIE HEARN: When I saw Luis Arias fight on the Kovalev-Ward undercard, I thought ‘This is a guy that really excited me.’ He had plenty of charisma and he loves to fight and he could become a star on November 11. In the other corner a very determined Daniel Jacobs, trying to recapture the title and trying to pick up more championship belts and potentially unify the division. He’s a honest a kid if I ever saw one and since the press conference in New York Danny Jacobs has been extremely motivated.
