In showing off his incredible boxing skills, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Oleksandr Usyk (10-0, 9 KOs) out-boxed previously unbeaten WBO cruiserweight world champion Krzysztof Glowacki (26-1, 16 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision on Saturday night to win the WBO belt at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.
Another championship bout more than worth of note will take place in Poland, when Oleksandr Usyk challenges Krzysztof Glowacki this Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately Showtime International or PBC hasn’t picked up this superb matchup. Maybe this proves that Al’s investment money has dried because their just doesn’t seem to be a good reason why he hasn’t found a home for this fight. Go figure, the best fight on paper will get the least exposure. In what will almost certainly be the most interesting and exciting cruiserweight world title fight of 2016, and possibly a FOTY candidate, period, WBO ruler Krzysztof Glowacki will meet mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk in the champion’s homeland of Poland on September 17th, ESPN.com reports. An absolutely fascinating, can’t-miss fight between two powerful and talented unbeaten fighters, Glowacki-Usyk is as close to a 50-50 fight as you could mention.

The fight televised on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV in the United States.
It was a tossup fight that really could have gone either way. The judges scored it 115-113 for Cunningham, 115-114 for Tarver and 114-114 even. It was a winnable fight for either of these guys, but a draw was definitely fair. If the judges had given the fight to Tarver, they would have had to ignore the fact that he was doing almost nothing in every round of the fight.
