Back on top of the world by way of his impressive stoppage win over Michelle Di Rocco in which he became the WBA super lightweight ruler and a three weight king, Scottish hero Ricky Burns currently has one thing on his mind: revenge. The 33-year-old was out-pointed by new star Terence Crwaford, who ended his reign as WBO lightweight champion, and Burns, when on the comeback trail from that loss, suffered another points defeat at the hands of Dejan Zlaticanin just three months later.

Crawford has gone from strength to strength since coming to Glasgow to beat Burns, and he next fights a unification bout with Viktor Postol at 140-pounds. Burns picks Crawford to add the WBC title to the WBO 140-pound belt he already holds with a win over Postol on July 23rd, and he told Sky Sports he would love a rematch with the pound-for-pound star.

Unbeaten star in the making Terence Crawford will look to put his recent legal troubles behind him as he gets ready to take, arguably, his toughest fight thus far in Viktor Postol on July 23rd at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas. WBO junior-welterweight champ Crawford turned himself into police last week on charges including theft of services and criminal mischief, which occurred at an auto shop earlier on this month. Crawford is no bad guy and he was released the same day he turned himself in.

Arum talks about possible Broner, Provodnikov fights for Terence Crawford

Unbeaten star Terence Crawford really does like as though he is on the way to the top of the pound-for-pound charts and to possible greatness. After wiping out the capable if not great Hank Lundy via impressive 5th-round stoppage last night, the options are plentiful for the reigning WBO super-lightweight king who has already claimed world titles at two weight divisions in his 28-0(20) pro career.

And promoter Bob Arum, in speaking with Ring.TV.com, spoke about these possible options; one of which is, quite amazingly, a fight against the Al Haymon-promoted Adrien Broner. Arum, of course filed a whopping great lawsuit against Haymon last summer, but now the Top Rank boss says he’d “love to” make a Crawford-Broner fight, even if it means working with Haymon.

“He caught me with a good shot on the top of my head and threw my equilibrium off. I just couldn’t recover,” Lundy said.
