WBO International Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury and challenger Christian Hammer came head-to-head today at the Cineworld in The O2 ahead of Saturday’s big showdown, live and exclusive on BoxNation.
Undefeated Fury’s risks his title and WBO mandatory shot against reigning world champion Wladimir Klitschko if he loses to the number three ranked challenger.
But Fury is fully aware of what’s at stake and say he’ll retire if can’t defeat the hard-hitting Germany based Romaninan.
In an interview with BoxNation TV Fury discussed his upcoming bout with Christian Hammer and then inevitably went on talk about his proposed bout with lineal champ Wladimir Klitschko.

Today the Fury family grows stronger as my brother, John, is released from prison following a four-and-a-half year sentence. It’s a happy day, a cause for celebration, and I’m just glad we get to have him home. It gives us the chance to put all of this misery behind us. Now we can concentrate on the boxing.
We’re taking this afternoon off and we’ll go out for a meal to celebrate his release. Then we’ll be back in the gym this evening and there’ll be sparring. John will be right in the mix and it will be like he never went away.
Tyson Fury has come out and said that he did not watch Wilders historic match against Bermane Stiverne to capture the WBC heavyweight title, but did congratulate him on his victory. The heavyweight scene is very open now with top talents like Bryant Jennings, Tyson Fury and Alexander Povetkin ready to take over from Wladimir Klitschko as the lineal champion of the world. The interesting thing is that Tyson Fury does not seem to be caught up in the hype around the newly crowned WBC strap holder and has his sights set solely on the main man in the division, Wladimir Klitschko.
