Boxing Returns to The Pavilion at Coushatta

New Sabine River Championship To Be Decided May 22
14.05.04 – By Carlos Kalinchuk: On May 22, 2004, Texas Light Heavyweight Champion Sabastion “The Thrill” Hill of Houston, Texas, will face Louisiana Light Heavyweight Champion Carl “Kojack” Handy of New Orleans, Louisiana to decide the first champion of the newly formed Sabine River Championship in the main event at “Knockouts at Coushatta III.” The co-main event will decide the NABA Female Welterweight Championship between Eliza Olson of Fresno, California and Patricia Demick of Hallandale Beach, Florida. The under-card features an array of professional fighters, including undefeated (10-0) Lightweight Bobby “The Bayou Bomber” Aucoin from Scott, Louisiana, Clifton Rubin (6-1), plus former NABA Super Middleweight Champion Will McIntyre and more fighters to be announced shortly.

The first fight starts at 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. This event will be held in The Pavilion at Coushatta, adjacent to Grand Casino Coushatta, and is open to boxing fans of all ages.
