08.02.05 – Former World Boxing Association featherweight and World Boxing Council featherweight champion Luisito Espinosa of Stockton, Calif., meets Cristobal Cruz of Mexico in the 10-round main event on the nationally and internationally televised “Guilty Fight Night” card presented by Guilty Boxing in association with Tecate Friday, Feb, 18, at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium in Stockton..
The 37-year-old Espinosa has a record of 47-12 with 26 knockouts. Espinosa turned pro during 1984 at the tender age of 16 and was WBA featherweight champion by 1989 at age 22. He defended successfully twice before being dethroned during 1991.
He won the WBC featherweight championship during 1995 and defended successfully sux times before losing the title during 1999.
The 27-year-old Cruz has a record of 29-7-1 with 18 knockouts.
He’s coming off two knockouts, over Jose Navarette in the fourth round on a Guilty Boxing card Jan 7 in Tijuana and over previously undefeated Cornelius Lock on another Guilty Boxing card Oct. 29 in Las Vegas.
Guilty Boxing’s “Guilty Fight Night” telecasts are seen domestically on America One; in Europe, Africa and middle eastern countries on Fox Sports International; in Europe and Africa on BEN Television; and in the Caribbean on WCVI Super Station.

This is the first “Guilty Fight Night” card to be held in Stockton. The innovative Guilty Boxing series was launched last May and has presented cards in Las Vegas, Southern California, Arizona and Tijuana as well as Stockton.

Jose Bermejo of San Jose, Calif., (5-1-2, 3 KOs) against Hiliaro Lopez of Caldwell, Idaho,
(5-2, 4 KOs) in a six-round super lightweight bout; Rudy Cruz of Fresno (1-1, 0 KOs) against Luis Cervantes of Cathedral City, Calif., (2-0, 1 KO) in a four-round super featherweight fight; and Francisco Leal of Tijuana (1-0, 1 KO) against Ricardo Valencia of Los Mochis, Mexico,

Commentators for Guilty Boxing’s “Guilty Fight Night” telecasts are “The Colonel” Bob Sheridan and Benny Ricardo. Sheridan, a Boxing Hall of Fame inductee, has worked almost 800 world championship bouts on six continents during a career that has spanned more than three decades. Ricardo, for seven years a place kicker on four NFL teams, also is a veteran announcer and has covered the biggest events in the sports world, ranging from Super Bowls to World Cups.
