Moli Mouths Off

16.02.05 – Argentinian WBU World Heavyweight Title challenger Fabio Eduardo Moli has promised to make it a double-upset for England when he defeats Matt Skelton on Friday 25 February at the Wembley Conference Centre. The tough-talker from Cordoba is from the same stable as Javier Alvarez who ripped Michael Gomez’s WBU World Super-Featherweight title from him last Friday night in Manchester and has made it clear he will do the same to the Bedford battler.

Mouthy Moli stormed, “You all saw what happened to Gomez and I will do the same to Skelton only twice as bad in half the time,”

“What does Skelton have to bother me? Nothing. I have seen Skelton fights on tape and he just a big brawler. I have knocked out plenty of them in my time in the ring and in bars so he will be no different,”

“The only good heavyweight the English have ever had is Lennox Lewis. The rest have been rubbish and Skelton is no Lewis,”

“I arrive in England on Monday, which I am not happy about, but I plan to get out on the first plane on Saturday morning with the title leaving Skelton mashed to a pulp.”

Skelton v Moli headlines an exciting fight card that also features all-action lightweights Graham Earl from Luton in a 10-round contest and Steve Murray from Harlow in an eight-rounder.

Sports Network’s top undefeated young prospects Lee Beavis and Matthew Marsh appear plus the addition of power-punching Martin Concepcion from Leicester who has won all nine of his fights, eight by knockout, with seven of them inside two rounds.

Finally, welterweight’s Ross Minter and Chas Symonds both feature in six-round contests as they prepare to face each other in an explosive showdown for the Southern Area crown to be announced shortly.

Tickets, priced at £30, £50 and £75, are available from the Sports Network Box Office on 01992 550 888 or online at www.frankwarren.tv
