18.04.05 – By Ike Enwereuzor: Former world champion Charles Brewer was stopped in round 10 by the WBA International Light heavyweight champion Lolenga “The Leopard” Mock, a Danish Based Congolese (now 23-9 with 8 KO’s) who took a last minute call to face former champion (now 40-11) KO’s for the vacant WBO intercontinential Super Middleweight Championship..
The Danish based Congolese took the fight against Brewer on a 2 days notice as he was preparing for a fight with IBF Intercontiential Light heavyweight Champion Alexej Trofimov (23-1) 18KO’s for May 6, in Ukraine. Charles Brewer was originally scheduled to meet Martin Nielsen for the title.
The WBA International champion Lolenga Mock overpowerd the current WBA No.10 and WBO No.10 ranked contender, Charles Brewer to prove he belongs in world class list by adding the vacant WBO Intercontinential Super Middleweight title to his WBA International Light heavywight. Brewer was dropped twice in round ten before Bobby Watts threw in the towell in 252 of the 10th round.
This will be the new WBO Intercontinential Super Middleweight champions second impressive win over a world class fighter. This performance demostrates that Lolenga “The Leopard” Mock now belongs in the top class world ranking. In November 2004, Mock destroyed Giovanni Alvarez of Sweden in round 3 to capture the WBA International Lightheavyweight Championship.
“Bring them all on: Joe Calzaghe, Jeff Lacy, Mikkel Kessler, Marcus Beyer, Anthony Mundine or even a rematch with Mario Veit if not then I want all the Light Heavyweights Fabrice Tiozzo, Glen Johnson, Antonio Tarver, Paul Briggs, Danny Green, Clinton Woods, Zsolt Erdei, Stipe Drews, Thomas Ulrich or anyone of them,” said Mock, the Leopard wants them for food, they want to fight me because they know I hungry and dangerous, they can’t avoid me I’m coming after all of them”.
