Charles, who holds the titles of both WBC Caribbean Federation Junior Middle Weight Champion, and IBO Intercontinental Junior Middleweight Champion created Knock-Out Productions, Ltd. and is working to bring World Championship Boxing events to the Cayman Islands..
Charles, the only professional-prize fighter from the Cayman Islands, feels the Cayman Islands have a lot to offer the boxing industry. According to Charles, “The Cayman’s are more than beautiful beaches, and warm weather. I created Knock-Out Productions, Ltd. to show the world Championship Boxing at its finest, we have had an amazing turn out in past events. The people of the Cayman Islands are fans of boxing and want to see world Championship Boxing on their Island.” He plans on doing just that with Knock-Out Productions sixth planned event in February, 2006. Knock-Out Productions, Ltd. proudly presents ‘War’ on February 24th, 2006. The ‘War’ event will start at 7 pm at the Kings Sports Center in the Cayman Islands. Knock-Out Productions, Ltd. announces Charles (THE KILLA) Whittaker, WBC Caribbean Federation Junior Middle Weight Champion, and IBO Intercontinental Junior Middleweight Champion as the main event. Whittaker will defend his WBC title. His opponent will be announced on January 1st, 2006.
Also on the card is Derrick Moon out of Fort Worth, TX. Moon has fought 2 times in the Cayman Islands and has a large fan base both in the states and on the island. Moon’s style is fast and exciting and is a great fighter to watch.
“Being in the boxing industry and seeing first hand how boxing events are planned; I have taken great care in developing a strong team who will coordinate events that will appeal to everyone”, says Charles. Working with the tourism bureau in the Cayman Islands, it is the goal of the Knock-Out Productions, Ltd. to have international telecasts of the events. Future plans are underway for additional main events.
