Diaz, (30-1-1, 16 KO’s) returns to the ring, following his ten round unanimous decision win over Silverio Ortiz on the 8 Count Productions’ MADNESS IN MARCH event at the Aragon Ballroom.
“David was in a very tough battle last time out against Ortiz but won the last couple of rounds as he continued to display his warrior spirit. That’s exactly what our fans want to see and that’s why he’s so popular in Chicago. Fans know he’ll fight to the end and they have a great deal of respect for him” said Pesoli.
An outstanding undercard for this event will feature bouts including middleweight Francisco Diaz, (14-1, 8 KO’s) of Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Chicagoland fan favorite, welterweight Gilbert Venegas, (9-2-2, 6 KO’s). Additional information on the undercard will be announced shortly.
Stated Pesoli, “Francisco Diaz is a tough, good looking kid from Kansas, he’s been very successful in his first fifteen fights and we think our fans will really take to him. Venegas caught a tough break with the cut in his last bout with Rincon but we’re looking for him to successfully bounce back.”
Continued Pesoli, “Jerry Alfano (matchmaker for 8 Count Productions) continues to put together great matches for our fans. We’ll be able to announce more details for this card later this week.”
