Bradley Pryce: Bad Brad’s A SC-Rapper!

20.06.06 – Newport isn’t big enough for this battle! Move over Goldie Lookin Chain your about to get KO’d from the music charts by sc-rapper Bradley Pryce – the reigning Commonwealth Light-Middleweight Champion. Known on the rap scene as Pay da Pryce, the 25-year-old has transferred his aggressive, all-action, boxing style – that has made him one of Britain’s most exciting boxers – to equally hard-hitting, in-your-face, lyrics that he believes will make him a hit in the charts..

Pryce is now on the verge of finalising a deal with a record label to bring out his first album and is aiming to get the first single titled “Yo Goin’ Down” its debut play at the Millennium Stadium on July 8 when he makes his glittering ring entrance to defend his title.

“I’ll be Britain’s equivalent to rap superstars Eminem and 50 Cent,” said Pryce.

“Just like I have punched my way to become the Commonwealth Champion by beating the best in the ring, I will blast my way to the top of the charts with my lyrical skills. My music is like my fighting style – RAW – and I’m warning all rival groups and artist that they had better be prepared to be knocked-out cold,”

“Even though GLC and me are from Newport there isn’t enough room for both of us so something has got to give and they are going down,”

Despite showing no love for his countrymen GLC, Pryce said he would love to collaborate with Welsh warbler Charlotte Church in the future.

He continued, “My music is quite hardcore but I think that combined with Charlotte’s wild rock chick style we would have great chemistry. I reckon it would be like Nelly and Christina Aguilera’s single “Tilt Ya Head Back” – HOT!,”

By day Pryce is sweating it out under a punishing regime from trainer Enzo Calzaghe – father of WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion Joe – in Newbridge and after training is chilled out in the studio.

He added, “I’ve been rapping for a few years now and it takes my mind away from all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears that goes into the training for a championship fight,”

“Once I’ve finished my session in the gym then I’m straight in the studio working on the album or writing lyrics for new songs. I can channel all my left over aggression into words and this has had a very mellowing effect on me,”

“Despite all the excitement of bringing out an album I’m still focused on my main job and that is a being a professional boxer and I’m concentrating on my title defence on July 8.”
