11.09.06 – Benna Ford, Roush, Saleen of Superior and Fond-du-Luth Casino of Duluth present ”Superior Showdown II” Friday Night Fights; a professional boxing card featuring Co-Main event fights with Zach “Jungle boy” Walters and Andy “Kaos” Kolle on September 15th at the Wessman Arena in Superior, Wisconsin. Both bouts are scheduled for 8 rounds..
Zach “Jungle boy” Walters, 14-1 (11 KO’s) is slated to face Jamaican former world title challenger Lloyd “Jabba” Bryan, 22-13 (10 KO’s). Bryan is the current NABC cruiserweight champion, though the bout will be contested at light heavyweight and Bryan’s belt is not at stake.
Andy “Kaos” Kolle, 9-1 (7 KO’s), also returns to the ring in the co- main event to take on veteran Terry Tock, 17-8 (9 KO’s) of Holden, MO. Kolle looks to rebound from his first loss against Olympic gold medallist Andre Ward on HBO this past April.
Chuck Horton, manager and trainer for both fighters, commented on their upcoming fights,
“Every fight is a test to the top. The opponents only fight harder and faster on the way up.
This is a rare opportunity for the boxing fans of the Twin Ports to witness the climb.”
In addition, Michigan prospects Purnell “Knock You Out” Gates, 13-1 (11 KO’s), Patrick
Wesson, 6-0 (3 KO’s), and Rafael Hernandez, 4-0 (2 KO’s) have been added to the show. Gates, the UIBO Welterweight champion has banged out eleven straight victories earning nine knockouts in that stretch looks to continue his dominance this Friday Night. Both Gates and Hernandez scored TKO victories at the inaugural “Superior Showdown” last April. Horton’s Gym fighters Tyler Gould, 2-0 (2 KO’s) and Robert Miller (pro debut) will also be featured in four round attractions.
