Philadelphia, PA (January 16, 2007)—in 2006, Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell and Max Alexander were emerging as two of the top prospects in the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight division respectively. But in the last few months of the year, both were shocked with potentially crushing setbacks. On Friday, February 9th at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia the aforementioned Abell and Alexander have an opportunity to avenge those setbacks or “Can Lightning Strike Twice” when Abell takes on Arron Lyons in a scheduled six round heavyweight bout and Alexander battles Marty Lindquist in two of the most anticipated rematches in the recent memory in Philadelphia.
In the main event Lyons (5-0, 4 KO’s) of Gulfport, Mississippi will attempt to validate his win over Abell last December 1st when he shocked The Legendary Blue Horizon crowd when he ate big left hand by Abell to come back and stop Abell just 77 seconds into their scheduled four round Heavyweight bout.
Just eight days after defeating Abell, Lyons scored a first round knockout over Othello Antonio Jackson in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
Despite being from Minneapolis, Abell (10-1, 10 KO’s) built up a big following in Philadelphia are due to his frequent (six in all) appearances at The Legendary Blue Horizon. After he walked into the “Lyons Dem”, he got back in the win column with a six round stoppage over Larry White on January 12th.
On October 14th, Max Alexander was rolling along with a record of 12-0-1 and on that night he was set to face Marty Lindquist in what was supposed to be nothing more then a showcase for the Camden, New Jersey native.
Lindquist, of Blaine, Minnesota had other ideas. Lindquist landed one of the most devastating punches in recent memory and knocked Alexander out cold for ten minutes. For a brief moment the crowd held their collective breath as Alexander lay motionless on the canvas.
For a few days it was thought that Lindquist had scored a shocking upset with that ten second destruction of Alexander.
It was revealed a few days later that Lindquist (12-4, 1 NC, 9 KO’s) had failed the post fight drug test and thus Alexander kept his perfect (12-0-1, 1 NC, 2 KO’s) record intact.
For the visiting Lyons and Lindquist, one question needs to be asked….Can Lightning Strike Twice?

Israeli crowd favorite Elad Shmouel (14-1, 8 KO’s) makes his fourth trip to America and to The Legendary Blue Horizon as he takes on Ryan Belasco (3-0-2) of Wilmington, Delaware in a Jr. Welterweight bout scheduled for six rounds.
Fresh off his exciting pro debut at The Legendary Blue Horizon, Paul Fernandez (0-0-1) of Philadelphia battles Ernest Scott (0-5) in a Featherweight bout scheduled for four rounds.
Two guys making their pro debut will square off when Jerry McKenzie takes on Seth Terroeno in a four round bout.
