11.03.07 – Chicago welterweight knockout artist Luciano “El Michicano” Perez will battle Ramiro Rivera at MARCH MAYHEM this Friday, March 16th at Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions. Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 7:00pm with the first bell at 8:00pm. Advanced tickets can be obtained by calling 312-226-5800.
A native of Mexico, Perez’s aggressive style and knockout power have made him a favorite amongst Chicago fans since his pro debut almost four year ago. His last bout was a SOLO BOXEO televised war with highly regarded contender Jesus Soto Karass this past December in Houston, Texas.
In August of 2006, Perez won a decision over Francisco Rincon in an outstanding battle at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. He brings a record of 14-5-1 (12KO’s) into the battle with Rivera.
The heavy handed Rivera, 4-3 (3KO’s) is a native of Nicaragua, now fighting out of Phoenix, Arizona.

The weigh-in for MARCH MAYHEM will take place at 7pm on Thursday, March 15th at Club Aquarius, 2459 N. Pulaski on the northwest side of Chicago
