18.04.07 – World renowned trainer Nacho Beristain brings his latest charge, undefeated bantamweight prospect Abner Mares to Chicago this Friday night, April 20th in a world title showdown against veteran Angel Priolo at Cicero Stadium. Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 5:30pm with the first bell at 6:30pm. Tickets are available in advance by calling 312-226-5800.
2007 has been a terrific year for Beristain, thought by many in boxing as amongst the finest trainers in the world. In March, the Marquez brothers, Rafael and Juan Manuel won world championships at junior featherweight and junior lightweight, respectively. Beristain also trained legendary Hall of Famers Ricardo Lopez and Daniel Zaragoza during their illustrious careers.

The weigh-in for this event will take place on Thursday, April 19th as Las Islas Marias, 6550 W. Fullerton on the northwest side of Chicago at 7pm.
The Master of Ceremonies for this event will be the internationally recognized voice of Latino boxing, Lupe Contreras.
