Fast becoming one of the sports hottest prospects, Cloud shared his thoughts on his training, his first ten rounder, fighting in Chicago and his future.
“I’m leaving in the morning and looking forward to putting on another great show for the fans in Chicago. We’ve been in camp now for seven weeks and I’m in terrific shape. Sparring has been terrific down here and I’m ready to get in the ring on Friday night.”
Speaking about facing veteran Jim Strohl in his first ten rounder, Cloud said, “I’m prepared for whatever he brings to the fight. If I need to box, I’m confident in my skills, if I need fight then I’ve got no problem making adjustments on the fly, whatever it takes. I train like it’s a world title fight so I’m always in great shape.”
“The ten rounds is no problem, if it comes down to having to go ten, I’m fine with that, but if I get him hurt, I’m going to look to close the show” said Cloud who has stunned the Chicago crowds with his devastating knockouts in his last five fights.
“I love fighting in Chicago, the fans have gotten a real opportunity to see me improve over the last year and they’ve been very supportive.”
About his future fights, Cloud said, “For this week, it’s all about Jim Strohl, but I’m ready to fight anyone at 175.”
