Undefeated Jr. Middleweight, “Lightning” Harry Joe Yorgey will take on tough veteran, Jose “Macho” Medina in what is sure to be a toe-toe-brawl on Friday night October 12th at The Legendary Blue Horizon on Philadelphia. The Bout is scheduled for ten rounds and has the makings of an old-school Philadelphia tussle as neither Yorgey nor Medina give an inch and love to stand and trade at close quarters..
Yorgey, 19-0-1 with nine knockouts of Bridgeport, PA knows all about Medina.
“I have seen him fight twelve or thirteen times. I even sparred with him when I was an amateur and he is a power puncher. If you don’t come with your “A” game you won’t be walking out of the ring.” Said the undefeated Jr. Middleweight
In his last bout, Yorgey pounded Edson Aguirre over eight rounds to win a unanimous decision at The Legendary Blue Horizon that took place on June 1st.
Medina, 14-9 with ten knockouts of Philadelphia is a rugged customer and should be a test for Yorgey as he has been in the ring with perennial contenders. He has a crowd pleasing style and he is known for being one of the best body punchers in the Philadelphia area.
On December 16th 2005, Medina and Miguel Figueroa waged a classic toe to toe battle that thrilled the fans at the New Alhambra in Philadelphia. Although Medina, did not win that fight, he proved that he has the heart and determination of a Philadelphia fighter.
This past March 3rd, Medina defeated Jose “Stinger” Medina by unanimous decision.
In his last bout, Medina dropped a disputed split decision to Mustapha Johnson on July 20th at The New Alhambra.
An exciting undercard has been put together by matchmaker Don Elbaum.
