Chicago’s 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING, has announced details of three terrific evenings of world class professional boxing at Cicero Stadium over the next 45 days. These shows will also feature the debut of the 8 Count dancers along with a night club atmosphere similar to the David Diaz/Erik Morales lightweight world championship event at the Allstate Arena in August..
Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Tickets are available in advance by calling 312-226-5800.
Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, “It’s a very busy time for us, but the Chicago fight fans have been very supportive and we’re thrilled to present these three outstanding evenings of boxing for them. We start on Friday, October 19th and come right back the following Friday, on October 26th, finishing up on Friday, November 16th all of which will be at Cicero Stadium. I anticipate large crowds for these three shows and I encourage Chicago fight fans to call in advance for tickets.”
Speaking about the fighters who will appear on the upcoming three shows Pesoli said, “It’s a terrific mix of former world champions and highly ranked fighters Martin Castillo and Kassim Ouma, world class contender Giovanni Segura who has been very impressive in his past trips to Chicago and excellent national and local prospects such as Jorge Paez Jr., Victor Polyakov and Andrzej Fonfara along with Chicago favorites Mike Nevitt and Rita Figueroa.”
Continued Pesoli, “It all starts at BAD BLOOD on Friday, October 19th with a great card headlined by a terrific lightweight clash between Jaime Sandoval and JC Martinez. We’ve also got Nevitt and terrific newcomers like Polyakov and Deividas Nekrasas on that card.”
About the debut of the 8 Count dancers and night club atmosphere Pesoli said, “When we promoted the Diaz/Morales card at the Allstate Arena it was very apparent that the fans loved the nightclub atmosphere of the continuous music and it was a very entertaining evening for our fans. That’s what we will bring to these shows.
Our fans want to see great fights and they also want to have fun and be entertained. That’s what we’re going to continue to do not only this fall with these three terrific shows but in all our shows going forward.”
