Zepeda Fighting To Honor His Corner Woman WHo Knocked Out Breast Cancer

(Indianapolis, IN) – Tomorrow, Thursday, October 18 at 6 p.m. sharp, popular Indy night spot Claude & Annie’s will host the official weigh-ins for Friday night’s Circle City Rumble. “Merciless” Mary McGee, Francisco “Panchito” Zepeda and “Downtown” Louis Brown are just a few of the boxers who will be on hand to meet fans and take photos at this free event. Claude & Annie’s, conveniently located at 5162 Pike Plaza just north of Lafayette Square Mall, will be showing fight films and offering a Play Station 2 Fight Night competition from 6-8 p.m..

“Mary and Tawnyah Freeman are going to give the fans a toe-to-toe war when they fight for the women’s NABC lightweight championship in Friday night’s main event,” said Octavius James, CEO of One In A Million Inc. “These two come to fight, each and every time, and this Friday is sure to be no different.”

21-year-old Gary native and undefeated female phenom McGee (11-0, 6 KOs) faces Tawnyah “No Fear” Freeman (8-4, 3 KOs) in McGee’s first shot at a title and the realization of a dream come true. McGee expects a tremendous turn out of fans from northwest Indiana as well as a terrific turn out of fans from Indy to be on hand to witness what she believes will be the first of many championship titles.

“No Fear” indeed. Freeman has gone on the road to fight some of the sport’s best women boxers including Agnieszka Rylik and Jessica Rakoczy. An Arkansas resident, Freeman began boxing as a form of self-defense and briefly competed in tough woman competitions before graduating to the sweet science.

Shelbyville’s Panchito Zepeda (16-5, 9 KOs) has added incentive to win his light welterweight bout this Friday. His “cutman,” Indy resident Vickki Marconi, just finished chemo treatment for breast cancer. Her prognosis is excellent.

“I’m a fighter, but Vickki is the warrior,” Zepeda said. “I’m happy that the Rumble will benefit a worthy cause like breast cancer research.” One In A Million Inc. will be donating to Komen’s Passionately Pink campaign in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and encourages all of the Rumble’s attendees to wear pink to support the cause.

In what may be the evening’s bloodiest bout, another Indy fight fan favorite, “Downtown” Louis Brown (15-3, 10 KOs) faces tough Mexican veteran Ruben “The Modern Day Warrior” Galvan (27-11-2, 10 KOs) in a welterweight battle. Stepping into the ring with a puncher like Galvan is nothing compared to the violence filled childhood that Brown survived. After 8-years in the Air Force, Brown is currently working toward a degree in elementary education.

Rounding out the card, 2-time Chicago Golden Gloves Champion Evette Collazo goes for her second win as a professional featherweight and Indy father of 7, ATT sales rep, and peewee football coach, Luke Dunnuck, fights for his second win at heavyweight.

The Adam’s Mark Hotel is conveniently located at 2544 Executive Drive in Indianapolis.

Doors to the Circle City Rumble open at 7 p.m. The first bout is at 8 p.m.
