Hot off the heels of a stellar crowd pleasing performance at the Staples Center, in Los Angeles by Star Boxing’s Jesse Feliciano, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing is still going strong with not one, not two, but THREE back-to-back events in a breathtaking two nights. The kick-off of this whirlwind two night extravaganza is Wednesday, December 5th’, when Terrance “The Heat” Cauthen (32-3, 9KO’s) bring’s the heat to the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena, in Hollywood Florida, against Sechew “Iron Horse” Powell (21-1, 12KO’s) both vying for the much coveted #1 contender position in the IBF’s Jr. Middleweight World Ratings..
Also featured on the card is UNDEFEATED WBA # 14 heavyweight and rising super star, Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson who hails from New Jersey. Johnson who has attracted unprecedented media and fan attention after his convincing victory over Damian “Bolo” Wills back in August, is sending the message that he poses a clear and present danger to anyone who gets in his way as he fights his way to a title shot. All of the fights from the Hard Rock on Dec 5th will be broadcast LIVE on www.GoFightLive.tv.
On Thursday, December 6, Star moves the action to the New York area with major fights in both New York and New Jersey. The cold war turns hot as Ukrainian born and (Bronx) New York resident, NABF Jr. Middleweight Champion Andrey Tsurkan (25-2,16 KO’s) defends his title against UNDEFEATED Belarus native and fellow New Yorker (Brooklyn) Yuri Foreman (23-0, 8 KO’s). This bout is part of Star Boxing’s successful fight series “Punchin at the Paradise”, at the Utopia Paradise Theatre in the Bronx co-promoted by Star Boxing, Dibella Entertainment and Top Rank. This exciting event will be televised live on VERSUS.
Meanwhile, the Robert Treat Hotel Newark, New Jersey is the location where an important Light Heavyweight showdown will unfold as long time rivals and former sparring partners Eric “Magic 2000” Harding (23-4-1, 7KO’s) and Shaun George (15-2-2, 7KO’s) will get their chance to finish what was started years back in some heated, trash talking sparring sessions that can only be described as skirting real close to bedlam. That bout is a Star Boxing and Hall of Fame promotion.
“I’m excited about all the activity we have coming into the holiday season” said Star Boxing CEO Joe DeGuardia. “3 shows in 2 nights with so many of our fighters in action tops off a very busy year for us. With several of our world rated contenders fighting next week we hope they will be able to deliver like Santa Clause when it comes to winning and advancing their careers” DeGuardia added.
