PENSACOLA, FL—June 4, 2008—Former World Heavyweight Title Challenger Owen “What the Heck” Beck has signed a promotional deal with Square Ring, Inc. CEO John Wirt announced today from their Pensacola corporate offices. The Jamaican native is 27-3 with 20 KOs to his credit..
“We at Square Ring are fully dedicated to getting Owen back into the mix in the upper echelon of the Heavyweight division and are working on a number of different opportunities for him,” Roy Jones said.
“I am very happy to be working with such an exciting heavyweight like Owen,” Wirt said. “I have been following his career for a number of years now and in addition to having a great ring name, Owen has what it takes to be champion.”
Beck, who now is living and training in Georgia, stated “I’m on the verge of coming back. I’m coming to get all the belts and all the champions and contenders need to get ready. Every time I step into the ring I bring thunder and lightening and if my opponents don’t understand that, I’ll explain it to them in the ring.”
