Philadelphia, PA—Junior middleweight prospects Latif Mundy, of Philadelphia, PA, and Rudy Cisneros, of Chicago, IL, collide in an eight-round fight on Friday evening, Aug. 29 at the New Alhambra, Swanson & Ritner Streets, next to Forman Mills, in South Philadelphia. First of seven fights at 7.15 p.m..
Topping the card is a 10-round contest for the vacant North American Boxing Association (NABA) welterweight title between Mike Jones, of Philadelphia, PA, against Juliano Ramos, of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Jones-Ramos fight and the Mundy-Cisneros match will be televised live by Telefutura/Univision as part of a two-hour broadcast beginning at 8pm EST.
Mundy, 25, is 8-0, 3 K0s. In his last fight May 30 in Monroeville, PA, he stopped George Rivera, of, Charlottesville, VA, in four rounds.
As an amateur, Mundy finished third at 165 p ounds in the US Nationals in 2004, fourth at 152 pounds in 2005.
Cisneros, who will be 27 by fight time, is 11-2, 10 K0s. He has knocked out his last three opponents since dropping a five-round split decision to Norberto Bravo, of Tucson, AZ, during the second season of The Contender reality series in 2006.
As an amateur, Cisneros had an extensive career and won a bronze medal at the 2004 US Olympic Trials.

Jones, 25, has won all 14 of his pro fights, 12 by knockout. He was taken the eight-round limit both times this year, scoring decisions over Germaine Sanders,of Chicago, IL, and Gilbert Venegas, of East Moline, IL.
Jones has knocked out Doel Carrasquillo, of Lancaster, PA, and former world-title challenger Israel “Pito” Cardona, of Hartford, CT.
Ramos, 28, now lives in Boca Raton, FL. His 15-1-1 record includes 12 knockouts and wins over Antonio Ramirez, of the Dominican Republic, and Moises Pedroza, of Colombia.
In his last fight Nov. 17, Ramos knocked out John Trotman, of Barbados, in Port Saint Lucie, FL.
