Bild Zeitung reveals today that the Brähmer vs Garay fight might be uncertain as a prosecutor in Schwerin is investigating not just one but two cases involving Brahmer in claimed assault affairs. In the first case the victim withdrew the charge but the prosecutor insisted on letting the case run as he viewed it had “general interest.” The second affair involves the girlfriend of the other victim. In both cases Brahmer is claimed to have slapped or hit them, both times in bars and at least the first time under the influence of alcohol. As both incidents took place while Jurgen was still under probation (ending Sep 15) both cases are even more serious for the fighter. There is no official word form Universum yet.
Universum have announced that heavyweights Luan Krasniqi and Aleksander Dimitrenko fight November 15 at the Burg-Waechter Castello in Düsseldorf making it a “Golden November” with Felix Sturm vs Sebastian Sylvester scheduled for November 1 in Oberhausen and Hugo Hernan Garay vs Jurgen Brahmer set for November 22 in Rostock. Especially Sturm vs Sylvester stands out. Krasniqi and Dimitrenko in a WBO I/C titlefight is an internal eliminator where Dimitrenko got a lot to lose but needs to impress to continue a further climb up the ladder. For Luan it´s his last chance simple as that.

SBF in Sweden argues that in the AIBA regulations it´s clearly stated that a boxer that has suffered a cerebral haemorrage never shall box again in view of what is called a second impact. It´s a good argument: pro boxing is a lot more dangerous than amateur boxing. It will be interesting to see how the EBU and the BDB reacts. Another thing is that a suspension in one country is according to an agreement within the members of the EBU to be honored.
