Bild Zeitung brings today a story on IBF middle champ Arthur Abraham and his struggle to make 72,5 / 160 Friday afternoon. There are three kilos / six lbs left. Abraham is likely to make the weight but is a big middleweight and seems to be headed for supermiddle in the future..

EBU cruiser champ Marco Huck will reportedly defend the title against Russian Valery Brudov in Germany January 24. The fight will also be a WBA eliminator.

Universum heavies Aleksander Dimitrenko and Luan Krasniqi met yesterday at a press conference in Duesseldorf. They know each other well, have trained together and sparred but come November 15 it´s a crossroads fight for both. Dimitrenko have a lot more to lose compared with Luan but also have the time to make it back while Krasniqi is at the end of the road in case of a defeat.

Spotlight Boxing having signed up Hungarian amateur star Pal Bedak, who represented his country in two Olympic Games at light flyweight. Pal will make his prodebut December 9 in Solden, Austria, where also older brother Zsolt is featured.

Ukrainian heavy, based in Belgium but under promotional deal with Sauerland Event, Oleg Platov returns to action on Saturday in Bamberg on the undercard to Abraham-Marquez. Platov face American Jason Gavern. Also on the bill is promising middle Dominik Brisch who fight Moroccan Abdoulahed Ben Lelly. Heavies, both 3-0, Robert Helenius and Nikola Vujasinovic square off in what effectively is an internal eliminator. Robert, of Swedish/Finnish origin, starts as a firm favourite.
