LAS VEGAS, NV (August 6, 2009) Former junior middleweight world champion Sergio “THE LATIN SNAKE” Mora is headed to “TKO World Championship Boxing at the Pala Casino” set for Saturday, August 22nd at the Pala Casino Spa and Resort in Pala, California. Mora, who most recently split a pair of world title bouts with Vernon Forrest in 2008, will serve as the special guest at the event in addition to handling broadcast duties on the tape delayed broadcast. He also was the winner of NBC’s first season of the boxing reality show, The Contender in 2005. “TKO World Championship Boxing at the Pala Casino” is headlined by an I.B.O. Junior Middleweight World Championship bout between Philadelphia’s Anthony “THE MESSENGER” Thompson and Grady Brewer, winner of The Contender, Season Two..
Said Mora about the main event, “I know both guys very well having seen many of their fights. I feel that Brewer has a slight edge, he’s already beaten Thompson even though it was five years ago. Brewer’s a very smart, highly experienced boxer with a great skill set.”
“For Thompson it’s a tough fight but one he can win if he can overcome the fact that he already lost to Brewer once. Besides the world title, which is so important for both guys, there’s a lot at stake in a fight like this. The winner will be in a terrific position for even greater opportunities.”
The August 22nd event at the Pala Casino is TKO BOXING Promotions’ first event in Southern California, a boxing scene that the lifelong Southern California native Mora knows very well.

Integrated Sports Distributing “Undefeated Champions” PPV
Calderon-Mayol II, Martinez-Lozado title fights Sept. 12 live from San Juan
HOBOKEN, N.J. (August 5, 2009) – Integrated Sports announced today that it will distribute the September 12th “Undefeated Champions” pay per view event, featuring a pair of World Boxing Organization title fights, live in the United States from the Coliseum of Puerto Rico in San Juan. WBO light flyweight champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon (32-0-1, 6 KOs), also The Ring magazine’s titlist, headlines in a 12-round bout in a rematch against No. 1 contender Rodel “Kid Rapido” Mayol (25-3-1, 19 KOs). This past June’s Calderon-Mayol in Madison Square Garden ended in a six-round technical draw because Ivan was unable to continue from an accidental head butt he suffered in the fourth round.
In the 12-round co-feature, WBO super featherweight title-holder Roman “Rocky” Martinez (22-0-1, 13 KOs) makes his first title defense, since capturing the belt March 14 by way of a fourth-round stoppage of Nicky Cook, versus former world title challenger Michael Lozado (31-5-1, 24 KOs).

Gray, 12-9-0 (1KO), nicknamed “CLASSY” by his friends, is coming off a six round decision over Mike Ruiz on June 5th in Westbury , New York . This will be his fifth fight of 2009, including a six round battle with contender Ishe Smith on May 8th in Las Vegas .

The 30 year old Estrada, 22-6-0 (13KO’s), has fought numerous world class fighters in his ten year career including world champions Shane Mosley, Andre Berto and Kermit Cintron, along with contenders Chris Smith, Ishe Smith, Jesus Soto-Karass and Nurhan Suleymanoglu.
Most recently, Estrada battled Luis Abregu on December 5, 2008, in a bout broadcast on Showtime. Although seemingly well ahead in the fight, Estrada was deemed by the judges to have lost by split decision which angered the packed house at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez , California .
