ESPN FNF: Kauffman Ready For Shahan; Angulo vs Rosado, Dirrell vs. Contreras Tonight

Primm, NV – Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Travis Kauffman of Reading, PA tipped the scales at a trim and ready 224.5 for his eight-round fight with William Shahan of Glenville, WV. Shahan weighed in at 245. Kauffman-Shahan will appear underneath the Alfredo Angulo-Gabriel Rosado main event televised by ESPN2 Friday Night Fights and promoted by Gary Shaw Productions. The venue is the Star of the Desert Arena at Terrible’s Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, NV..

Kauffman’s weight is four pounds heavier than in his previous fight, which was a third round stoppage of experienced journeyman Livin Castillo. Marshall Kauffman, Travis’ trainer and father, felt the weight was too light but is happy with this weigh-in result.

Travis Kauffman, 23, set up camp in Deer Lake, PA using the training facility Muhammad Ali called home from 1972 until his final bout. In complete seclusion with no cable television, very little phone reception and only an XBOX 360 to pass the time, Kauffman would rise at 6:30 in the morning, run three miles uphill, spar countless rounds and work with his strength and conditioning coach. Kauffman is confident and prepared for tomorrow night’s bout
