Arreola, Adamek Weigh In On Chambers-Klitschko

Los Angeles, CA (March 20, 2010) – On Saturday night, April 24, world heavyweight title contenders Cristobal “the Nightmare” Arreola and Tomasz “Goral” Adamek will battle each other in a scheduled 12-round main event billed as “RING OF FIRE” on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark” telecast. Presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions and Main Events in association with Ziggy Promotions — and sponsored by Corona and San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino – this battle for the NABO and IBF International Heavyweight Titles will emanate from the 10,000-seat state of the art Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California..

In the meantime, both combatants share a strong, mutual interest in this Saturday’s WBO and IBF Heavyweight Title Bout between reigning champion and Ukrainian giant Wladimir “Dr. Steelhammer” Klitschko (57-3, 47 KOs) and Philadelphia’s “Fast Eddie” Chambers (35-1, 18 KOs), which takes place at the 51,000-seat ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. The winner of Arreola-Adamek fight certainly becomes an immediate challenger to fight the Chambers-Klitschko winner.

Both Arreola and Adamek took time out from their fight preparation to weigh-in on the chances of “Fast Eddie” defeating the 6-7, 240-pound plus “Dr. Steelhammer” and bringing a pair of World Heavyweight Title belts back to U.S. soil.

ARREOLA: “You know the Klitschkos are such beasts in the ring and I believe that Eddie has the tools to be able to tame that beast. But it’s gonna to be a hard night and it’s gonna be in Germany, so they’ve got a lot of advantage. Trust me, I know they tried to pull all kinds of stuff. I think Eddie is going to use a lot of his angles, which will be to his advantage against Wladimir. But, then again, he can’t stay on the outside in front of the jab of Klitschko. He has to keep moving. I love Eddie. He’s a great fighter. That being said man, I believe Klitschko will win by split decision.”

ADAMEK: “I feel the favorite is Klitschko. I do not know Chambers’ condition. I think
in order to win this fight Chambers must keep a very quick tempo through all 12 rounds. Klitschko is a smart fighter. Chambers must keep a fast pace through the later rounds and not let up. That will be his only chance. I think it will be an interesting fight.”
