Green V Siaca Round by Round

By Eugene Carnachan – Danny Green 29-3 V Manny Siaca 22-6 round by round – Challenge Stadium, Perth, Western Australia. Siaca enters the ring to a Puerto Rican rap song. Green enters to the Men at Work song “Down Under”.

Green looks a little dry. Siaca looks solid and good to go. Green isn’t as ripped as we are used to seeing him but that said he’s fighting at Cruiser so doesn’t have to deplete himself to get down to weight. He looks strong..

Green looks mean in the stare down. Got his Aussie battler stare working well.

Siaca looks a little passive…like his hearts not in this fight.

Round 1:

Both men sizing each other up mid ring.

Siaca lets go with a left right flurry.

Siaca backing up.

Siaca looks bigger then Green. Noticeably bigger in fact.

Green looking to smother Siaca.

Nothing much landing.

Siaca cut under the right eye. Caused by a punch. Green looks likes he wants to fight this fight at close quarters.

Greens intentions are quite clear. Rough him up and crack him around on the inside.

Both men let go trying to pot shot each others head. Both men can crack. No damage done but an exciting exchange.

End of round 1. Close round. Give it to Green on sheer aggression. Aggression is Greens game.

Round 2:

Green straight back to coming forward.

Good right hand from Siaca.

Siaca trying to jab Green.

Green boring in.

Siaca warned for holding.

Green drops Siaca. Not sure what the shot was.

He up. Ref waives it back on.

Here comes Green. Green cracks him with a few more heavy shots.

Green round. It was a short right hand that did the business. Greens bloody predictable i.e. he walks forward throwing hard shots. But bloody hard to stop

Round 3:

Green jabbing really well.

Green stalking. Siaca not doing enough to dissuade him from being so bullish. They are going at it in the corner.

Green looking to get back to his game plan of bullying Siaca on the inside.

Green really rough housing Siaca.

Head clash. Siaca is holding his head. Looks like he’s trying to waive the white flag.

Carrying on like a theatre actor treading the boards.

Ref not buying the ticket Siaca is trying to sell. Deserves a Razzie for this performance.

Ref waives it back on.

Green comes marching forward and traps Siaca in the corner and catches him with some crisp shots. Siaca down. Don’t think he interested in getting up…he’s not. Ref’s counted him out.

Siaca complained of being hit behind the head. A few landed thereabouts but the fact of the matter is, is he didn’t want to fight on.

Green to aggressive.

Post fight Green says he can trade with heavyweights he’s punching that hard.

First he should try trading with Marco Huck, Steve Cunningham, Herbie Hide, Troy Ross and other top flight Cruiser weights before making such lofty calls.

He hasn’t tested his punching power against the top brass of the Cruiser division let alone thinking he can trade with the Klits or Haye. That troika present a big difference between a washed up RJJ and Manny Siaca whose mettle has to be questioned post this fight.
