Day Three of Preliminary Round Results from the 2010 National Golden Gloves

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – The third day of preliminary round action at the 2010 National Golden Gloves took place on Wednesday in Little Rock, Ark. The light flyweight division made its debut on Wednesday with defending champion Louie Byrd (Denver, Colo.) winning his first bout of the 2010 edition to advance on to the quarterfinal round. Quarterfinal action in all ten weight classes will be contested on Thursday night. Quarterfinal results will be disseminated upon the completion of the night’s action. First Round Action Concludes at the 2010 National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Over 50 bouts of first round action took place on Tuesday in Little Rock, Ark., as boxers in the flyweight, lightweight, welterweight, light heavyweight and super heavyweight divisions vied for a spot in the second round. 2008 Olympians Rau’shee Warren (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Raynell Williams (Cleveland, Ohio) both enjoyed opening round victories on day two of Golden Gloves competition at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Boxers in all ten weight divisions will take the ring on Wednesday as they compete for a spot in the quarterfinal round on Thursday.

The 2010 National Golden Gloves Open Preliminary Round Action in Little Rock

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – The 2010 National Golden Gloves opened competition on Monday with 52 bouts of action at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Preliminary bouts were contested in the featherweight, light welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisions with the 52 victors advancing to the next round of the tournament.

Preliminary action will resume tonight at 6 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center.
