Brendan Galbraith – 3pm in the lobby of the Park Plaza Hotel and most of the boxers had already successfully made weigh. No such luck for Belfast flyweight, Jamie Conlan (2-0) who arrived to learn that his opponent Delroy Spencer will not be landing into Belfast until tomorrow. So, Conlan will have to wait until tomorrow until he can weigh in, as rules stipulate that both boxers must be weighed on the same day. Spencer fought at Featherweight last Friday losing on points to Danny Mc Dermid – so it is highly doubtful that he will arrive at Flyweight tomorrow.
Other news from the weigh in is that Ballyclare man Joe Rea is off the card, he was schedule to face Kris Carslaw. Also, Jason Cook v Charlie King did not weigh in today – presumably that fight is off the card.
However, the Kings Hall show tomorrow boosts a strong card and the late addition of Gavin Rees against Ghanian Sam Amoako – who lost a competitive Commonwealth Title fight in his last outing, is another welcome addition..
