By Peter Heintzelman – Brother barristers, Michael and Mark Erlich, proprietors of The Perfect Game Sports Bar, on Water Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, may have never thought that professional boxing would find its home for a weigh in in their bar.
Yet, compliments of DiBella Entertainment and Worcester’s home town hero, super middleweight Edwin “LaBomba” Rodriguez, the bar was a beehive of activity Wednesday afternoon with fighters and fans packed in like sardines, to witness the Massachusetts Boxing Commission do its thing.
Thursday night fights will ring in a short distance away, at the historic Mechanics’ Hall, but first, the preliminary weigh in report:
