ate last night agreement was made with the Cruiserweight Champion of Ghana Prince David Akrong to step in to face unbeaten Romford prospect Tony “The Conqueror” Conquest as top of the bill at the Goresbrook Centre, Dagenham this Saturday 19th March.
This is a massive step up for Conquest who is aiming for a title fight within the next 6-12 months. Tony will be cheered on by a legion of fans in his first professional bout on home soil.
Tony is trained by Jason Rowlands at the Noble Art Gym and will be looking to put a show on for his home fans. Akrong is there to spoil the party “Conquest will be getting knocked out. Tell his fans to get there early otherwise they may miss it.” Tony as ever the gentleman will let his talking be done in the ring. It will be explosive.
There is a fantastic undercard including International Masters Light-Middleweight champion taking on a foreign opponent. Leon “Solid” Williams takes on the very tough David Vicena from the Czech Republic over 6 rounds in his first International contest.
Pat McAleese after an unsuccessful challenge for the British Masters Light-Middleweight title takes on Fran Gonzalez from Spain whilst another International contest sees Michael “The Zambezi Hitman” Norgrove take on Jan Balog from the Czech Republic in what promises to be an explosive all action contest.
Sensational prospect “Pretty” Ricky Boylan has his second professional bout and the evening sees the long awaited return of Michael “The Real Chunky” Devine.
Johnny Eames’ protégée “Saint” George Jupp has his fourth paid contest after winning his first tyhree. He faces his toughest task to date against Raffi Khan.
Conquests stablemates Two unbeaten Middleweight prospects Danny Brown and Kris Agyei Dua are also on the card.
