JORGE “TRAVIESO” ARCE WILL COME TO PUERTO RICO TO GET HIS WBO BELT
World Boxing Organization (WBO), Franciso “Paco” Valcarcel said today that will invite new champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce to Puerto Rico to get his belt and pay tribute to the fighter to become the first mexican boxer with World Titles in four different weights.
“We are coordinating the date for bring Arce to Puerto Rico for give him his Super Bantamweight belt and also give him a diamond ring for his three WBO titles”, Valcarcel said about the three WBO crowns Arce won, in 108, 115 and 122 pounds.
Arce (57-6-2, 44 KOs) won the WBO 122lb title last Saturday when he beat by TKO Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (20-1-1, 17 KOs) in round 12.

Otherwise, Valcarcel announced that WBO Featherweight Champion, Orlando Salido and new Super Bantamweight Champion, Travieso Arce, were selected as the WBO Boxers of the Month for the current month.
Salido (35-11-2, 23 KOs) defeated Juan Manuel “Juanma” López (30-1, 27 KOs) in Puerto Rico by TKO to become 126lb titlist, and Arce did so against Vazquez last Saturday.

After a “Feel Out” first round, Santana was all over Jones and dropped him two times before the referee stopped the fight 1:20 into round two.
Santana of the Bronx is now 25-3 with sixteen knockouts and will look for bigger fish to fry in the Welterweight division.
Star Boxing’s newest signees, Jr. Lightweight Emanuel Gonzalez and Super Middleweight Jason Escalera each scored stoppage victories in their debut under Joe DeGuardia’s promotional banner.
Gonzalez stopped Jacob Thornton just 1:40 into their fight when Thornton was unable to continue due to an injured leg.
Escalera stopped the durable Mustafah Johnson in the second round of their scheduled six round bout.
