Chisora-Fury on Saturday; Arslan calls out Huck; Pacman vs. Marquez Tickets Go On Sale on Friday

London (18th July) HE says he’s the future of heavyweight boxing in Britain and on Wednesday Tyson Fury will be a panelists on The Wright Stuff and telling Mathew Wright why everyone in Britain should be watching Channel 5 at 10pm on Saturday night (23rd July) when he clashes with British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora.

Unbeaten heavyweight Fury says he has the charisma and class to take over from David Haye as Britain’s premier heavyweight. Born in Manchester he met his uncle by chance in Northern Ireland recently and has finally discovered his Irish roots – something he insisted on when denied a chance to box for Ireland at the Olympics in 2008.

“I’m the future of heavyweight boxing and I don’t go in for any toe-curling excuses. I want to be a fighter that Britain can be proud of, just the way British fans were proud of Ricky Hatton and on Saturday night fight fans will see that,” says Fury.

Fury’s clash with Chisora at Wembley Arena sees the return of big time boxing to terrestrial television and the fight is also being screened live in the United States, Canada and Africa.

Firat Arslan calls out Marco Huck

After a big weekend of cruiserweight boxing in Germany, the newly crowned IBF international and PABA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan (who scored an impressive fifth round TKO victory over Lubos Suda on Friday) called out World Boxing Organization (WBO) world champion Marco Huck (who stopped Hugo Hernan Garay in the tenth on Saturday).

“I want to fight for a world title again,” said former World Boxing Association (WBA) champ Arslan after his fight. “I don’t care which title or against whom. I will fight anybody as long as I get my hands on a belt. I know that I am already 40 years old but Bernard Hopkins just won in impressive fashion at age 46. So I still got some good years ahead of me. I still feel young and powerful and with my whole team and all the people supporting me I am sure that I can be world champion again.”

Promoter Ahmet Oner said he’s not afraid of Huck after his “poor performance” against Garay on Saturday. “Huck brings nothing to the ring Firat has to worry about.” says Oner. “If I compare the two fights I saw Firat beating down his opponent methodically with an excellent technical and tactical performance while Huck was getting involved in a street fight again. If Huck and his team dare to step into the ring with Firat, I clearly see Firat winning the title. But I doubt that they will accept the challenge because they know that they would risk their title. Uli Wegner is a very good and very experienced trainer. He will not allow his fighter to get a thrashing which Huck would surely get against Arslan.”

First of all Huck takes a summer break to marry his girlfriend while Arslan will continue training and return to action on September 24th in Trabzon, Turkey. “Firat has no time to waste. We want to keep him active and move him in the ratings because we know that ho world champion will take a voluntary fight against him. So we have to make him mandatory challenger which means that he has to work his way through the division. We’re ready to do this,” states Oner.
