Adama-Karmazin on October 7th; Marquez-Nishioka this Saturday; Richard Keys appointed as Boxnation presenter

CHICAGO, IL (September 25th, 2011)—Chicago’s adopted son Osumanu Adama (19-2 14KO’s) first raised eyebrows after showcasing his skills against Chicago’s heavy handed super middleweight Donovan “Da Bomb” George. The fight not only showed the heart of Adama but also showed the skills of the Accra, Ghana native. After the fight Adama dropped down to the middleweight division and quickly made a name for himself in the boxing community.

In December of 2010 Adama was pitted against Chicago’s Iconic Mexican ring warrior Angel “El Toro” Hernandez for the vacant International Boxing Organization International middleweight title. After 12 rounds of boxing Adama’s hands were raised and he walked out of the UIC pavilion in Chicago, Illinois the new champion.

With manager Wasfi Tolaymat directing his career in the right direction, and Promoter Cynthia Tolaymat promoting Adama, the Chicago Fight Club fighter quickly set his sights on a more important title and on March 25th 2011, Adama was once again pitted against a world ranked fighter, this time it was the 6 foot 3inch tall Marcus Upshaw. In what many ringside observers believed to be the toughest fight of Adama’s career quickly unfolded to become possibly one of Adama’s best performances in recent years. Adama destroyed Upshaw via TKO and was awarded the vacant International Boxing Organization Inter-Continental Middle and the Vacant USBA middleweight titles.

On October 7th Osumanu Adama will indeed be put through the biggest test in his professional boxing career as he is scheduled to face former IBF light middleweight champion Roman “Made In Hell” Karmazin (40-4-2, 26 KOs), who is fighting Osumanu Adama in the IBF proposed eliminator box off.

Many in the boxing community believe Adama does indeed have what it takes to become a world champion. Adama’s manager Wasfi Tolaymat went as far as promising the African community that on October 7th Adama will walk away victorious, “On October 7th people will know that Osumanu Adama is one of the best in his division and after this bout we expect to face the I.B.F. Champion Daniel Geale” – said the outspoken Tolaymat.

Karmazin is definitely someone who should not be taken lightly he is currently ranked # 8 in the world and at age 38, he has not shown any signs of slowing down. Karmazin plans to follow in the footsteps of Bernard Hopkins who has proved age is indeed nothing but a number.

These types of bouts are the most exciting because it gives the fans a front seat to a fight that has all the necessary players to make this bout legendary. Adama, who is an up and coming fighter who dreams of living his child hood dream, versus Karmazin a former champion trying to reclaim his glory.

Cynthia Tolaymat’s CFC Promotions “Chicago Fight Night III” tickets are now available at all Cermak Produce and Shop ‘n Save locations. Tickets are also available at Chicago Fight Club or by calling (708) 333-3333 or (708) 333-3303
