Cleverly vs. Bellew weights

World Boxing Organization (WBO) World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly and champion Tony Bellew both weighed in today for their world title fight tomorrow (Saturday 15th October) at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

In front of a capacity crowd at the Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool, unbeaten Welshman Cleverly weighed just under the limit at 12st 6lb 4oz, while undefeated challenger Bellew was spot on at 12st 7lb.

A raging Bellew had to be dragged away by security staff during the head-to-head photo-call, while a calm and smiling Cleverly watched on.

James DeGale weighed-in at 11st 13lb 8oz for his European Super-Middleweight title fight against the champion Piotr Wilczewski came in at 11st 13lb 12oz.

The fight will be LIVE and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456) and on the latest generation of Freeview HD televisions (Freeview Channel 112) with coverage starting at 7pm.

Later that night, also live will be the WBC World Light-Heavyweight Championship between the legendary Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson.

On Saturday 15th October, BBC Radio 5 live will broadcast live boxing commentary on Nathan Cleverly v Tony Bellew and Piotr Wilczewski v James DeGale, live from the Liverpool Echo Arena.

Ron McIntosh will present the show from 8.55pm and will be joined by commentator Mike Costello, summarisers former WBC Super Middleweight Champion, Ritchie Woodhall and former European Super Bantamweight Champion, Spencer Oliver, and ringside reporter, Ade Adedoyin.

First up Piotr Wilczewski takes on James DeGale for the European and WBO Intercontinental Super-Middleweight Championship title, followed by the headline bout between old rivals Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew for the WBO Light-Heavyweight Championship title.
