Premier Men’s magazine GQ will film exclusive training footage with Carl Froch this Friday to feature online ahead of his Super Six final against Andre Ward in Atlantic City on December 17.
World Boxing Council (WBC) Super-Middleweight champion Froch travels to the States to face the American Olympic hero in one of the biggest fights of the year, and the UK’s number one fighter has invited GQ to film him going through his paces in the gym. Froch will then sit down with the crew and record an in-depth interview on his stellar career to date, he blockbusting unification showdown with WBA champ Ward and what the future holds for the 34 year-old Nottingham star.
Filmed on a RED Epic camera for a striking effect, the GQ team’s footage will provide a unique insight into Froch’s high-intensity training regime and Froch will speak about the road to the Super Six final, a route which has seen his face some of the biggest names in the division back-to-back on his way to proving his status as the premier fighter in both the division and in Britain.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with GQ for this exciting new concept,” said Froch’s promoter Eddie Hearn. “As Britain’s number one fighter Carl is inundated with media requests but this is a very different opportunity to penetrate a new audience in what I’m sure will be compelling viewing.”

Samuel Colomban vs. Denton Vassell on November 12th
AUSSIE brawler Sam Colomban believes Denton Vassell will not match his hunger when they collide next week.
Vassell makes the second defence of his Commonwealth crown when he meets Colomban at Oldham Leisure Centre on Saturday November 12.
Colomban’s rise is Rocky like, seeking asylum Down Under when he walked out of the Commonwealth Game village after representing Cameroon at the Melbourne 2006 tournament.
The ambitious boxer, 26, was so deprived in Cameroon he could only afford one meal a day and says: “I was skinny when I came to Australia but now my body is changed and I have become bigger.
“I have this opportunity to become rich. In Cameroon if you are poor you stay poor. If you are rich you stay rich.”
Colomban has won 20 of his 23 professional bouts since seeking refuge in Oz, but is unbeaten in ten fights and holds the WBO Oriental crown.
His promoter Brian Amatruda said: “Who is Samuel Colomban? Nobody knows who he is. But remember it now because in a couple of years that’s the name you are going to hear.
“There isn’t an Australian fighter here who will fight him. I am on the phone every day with every fighter trying to match him.”
Other fights: Matty Askin v Roman Kracic, Kieran Farrell v Youssef Al Hamidi, Jazza Dickens v Badis Ouari, Dezzie Higginson v Sid Razak, Adam Little v TBA and Kieran Maher v TBA
