Cotto-Margarito face off with Max Kellerman on November 13th; Burns vs. Katsidis, Groves vs. Smith weigh-in, More!

Nov. 4, 2011 – Fight fans eager for a unique inside look at the December 3 HBO Pay-Per-View® rematch between World Boxing Association (WBA) Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito should mark their calendars to catch an all-new edition of “Face Off,” starring the two battle-tested veterans. “Face Off With Max Kellerman: Cotto-Margarito” debuts Sunday, Nov. 13 at 8:45 a.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Moderated by Max Kellerman, “Face Off” is a gripping interview session in which the two fighters face-off and answer Kellerman’s questions. The fighters also get the chance to address each other and their fans in this engaging and often heated format.

The Cotto-Margarito extended version of ‘Face Off” is set to air multiple times on HBO and HBO2 (schedule below). “Face Off” will also be available on the HBO On Demand® service, HBO GO® and at www.hbo.com/boxing as well as various other new media platforms that distribute the series.

HBO air times include: Nov. 13 (8:45 a.m.), 14 (11:45 p.m.), 16 (9:15 p.m.), 17 (5:15 p.m.), 18 (11:45 p.m.), 23 (10:45 a.m., 3:50 a.m.), 26 (1:45 a.m.), 27 (12:45 p.m.) 28 (2:55 a.m.), 29 (12:45 p.m., 2:00 a.m.), and 30 (7:45 p.m.).

Cotto vs. Margarito II takes place Saturday, December 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York City and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT.

Ricky Burns and Michael Katsidis both weighed spot on the lightweight limit of 9st 9lbs today ahead of their Interim WBO World Title fight tomorrow night at the Wembley Arena, live on BoxNation (Sky Platform Ch. 456).

Burns said, “I can’t wait for Saturday night now. All the hard work is done and I just want to get in the ring and win that second world title. I’ve not taken anything for granted and this is going to be the hardest night of my life, but I’m ready for it.”

“The fans had better get ready for a dynamite fight. I’ve prepared for a war against Burns and that’s is the best way I fight.” said Katsidis.

British and Commonwealth Super-Middleweight champion George Groves and challenger Paul Smith came in at an identical 11st 13lbs 12oz for their fight.

Groves said, “I see Paul has got himself into great shape and I’m looking forward to a good test tomorrow night, but I will keep hold of my belts.”

“All the talking is done and I’ve got to do the business and win back my British title.” Said Smith.

2008 Olympian Billy Joe Saunders weighed in at 11st 5lbs 8oz for his first professional title challenge against Southern Area Middleweight Champion Gary Boulden who weighed 11st 5lbs 12oz.

New York (November 4, 2011) – Unbeaten junior lightweight contender Eloy Perez defeated Ira Terry via 6th round technical knockout in their October 28 “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” main event bout, but that was not Perez’s only triumph of the night.
