British world heavyweight title challenger Dereck Chisora says that he’ll be too wild and unpredictable for World Boxing Council (WBC) World Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko this Saturday night in Munich.
Chisora, 28, squared up to the giant Ukrainian at today’s head-to-head press conference and promised to end the reign of Klitschko who hasn’t lost to a Brit since Lennox Lewis stopped him nearly a decade ago.
The fight can be seen live and exclusive on the New Undisputed Home of Boxing Boxnation (Sky Ch. 456/Virgin Ch. 546).
Finchley puncher Chisora said, “The Klitschko team don’t like me because I’m wild and unpredictable and I’m not like any of the other challengers that bow down in front of them. It scares them because they no control over me,”
“The way I’m going to fight he won’t be able to keep up with the pace I’m going to set. It will be at a hundred miles an hour and his old legs won’t be able to keep up. I’m not scared of him, he’s human, he bleeds and so do I, I’m looking forward to this now, it’s so close,”
“It’s the end for Vitali, I promise you, I will end the Klitschko reign and cause a massive upset in my magic round eight that will be felt around the world.”
He added, “It’s my dream to challenge for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and secondly to be introduced by the legendary Michael Buffer into the ring. It will be rounded off nicely to hear Buffer say the words ‘And the new heavyweight champion of the world, from London, England, Dereck Chisora.”
“Not only is the fight been screened live in the UK on BoxNation, but it will be screened live in New York in Times Square and it’s going to be one heck of a fight.”
Klitschko, who has beaten Brits Herbie Hide and Danny Williams, fired back by saying, “I’m looking into Chisora’s eyes and I see a young fighter who wants wants to win the world title. When he said that he was going to finish me in round eight I realised that this guy is serious and I have never prepared as hard for a fight. But I’ve told him that he’s not the one to stop me, no one can, I’m going to show everyone why I am the champion and why I have ruled for so long.”

Ermano Fegatilli Hunts for World Title
Ermano Fegatilli, European Boxing Union (EBU) Super Featherweight champion, will make a voluntary defense of his title against Italian Antonio De Vitis in the latter’s hometown of Savigliano, on February 25th 2012.
Fegatilli is currently ranked nr.8 WBC and nr.11 IBF and De Vitis will be his final obstacle before challenging for a world title.
He won the title twelve months ago by defeating then-champion and favourite Stephen Foster Jr from England UK on his home turf by knocking him down a total five times in a brutal fight over twelve rounds.
Cagri Ermis New WBF Middleweight World Champ
Germany’s Cagri Ermis reached the, at least so far, highlight of his up-and-down career on Saturday night when he captured the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Middleweight title by defeating Portuguese Vitor Sa at the Braamkamp 1 arena in Hamburg.
With clever boxing from the outside, Ermis controlled the fight with sharp and well-timed punches from the get-go, and rarely allowed Sa to get close enough to do any damage. The local man fought a very disciplined fight, and while game veteran Sa never stopped trying he was outboxed and outmaneuvered by his younger foe.
Ermis was originally to challenge former Champion Karama Nyilawila for the title last December, but first the bout was postponed when the German got injured, and later the title was declared vacant when Nyilawila, overdue a defense, decided not to honor his contract and instead take a non-title bout, so Ermis did well to adjust to his new co-challenger.
After twelve interesting rounds, all three judges had Ermis a clear winner by scores of 120-109 (Artur Ellensohn), 120-108 (Zbigniew Lagosz) and 117-111 (Timo Habighorst). Referee was Frank Michael Maass.
The new world champion improved his professional record to a deceivingly modest 13-10-2 (4), while Vitor Sa dropped to 26-7 (5). The fight headlined a massive show promoted by EC Boxpromotion.
