Granados And Herrera Ready For Chicago Battle This Friday Night

CHICAGO, IL (February 20, 2012) Chicago fan favorites Adrian “EL Tigre” Granados and Jaime “The Truth” Herrera kicked off a full schedule of media appearances on Sunday afternoon as they headed to Chicago’s Univision TV studios where they were interviewed at length by Enrique Rodriguez about their cross-town showdown set for this Friday night, February 24th at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion..

The Granados/Herrera eight round welterweight clash is featured at Windy City Fight Night 21, presented by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, celebrating 14 years as the HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING.

In an unprecedented move for such young, heralded Chicago prospects, Granados and Herrera, from Cicero, IL, and Franklin Park, IL, respectively, quickly agreed to battle each other for bragging rights of the Windy City.

Both 22 years old, each brings a huge local following who are sure to be in attendance on Friday night. Granados enters with a record of 6-1-1 (3KO’s), while Herrera has a similar record of 7-1-0 (4KO’s).

Also featured at Windy City Fight Night 21 is an outstanding junior lightweight bout between former world title challenger Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry and hard punching Puerto Rican native Guillermo “The Vampire” Sanchez.

Doors on the night of the event will open at 7pm with the first bell at 8pm. The UIC Pavilion is located at 525 S. Racine, at the corner of Harrison and Racine, just one block south of the Eisenhower Expressway in the West Loop area of Chicago.
