Lopez vs. Salido on March 10th; Broner-Perez on Saturday

Some of the best prospects and contenders will collide next March 10 on the show “Juanma López vs Orlando Salido 2, The Rematch”, at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that presents former two time champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez facing Orlando Salido for the WBO Featherweight title in a Top Rank presentation, in association with PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), Promociones Zanfer and San Juan City, to be televised on Showtime and Showtime Extreme.

Lopez (31-1, 28 KOs) will be looking for his revenge after lose his 126 lbs title against Salido (37-11-2, 25 KOs) last year, in the headline bout. The co-feature fight presents world contender Miguel Angel “Mikey” Garcia (27-0, 23 KOs), facing former world title challenger Bernabe Concepcion (34-4-1, 17 KOs) in a 10 round bout for the WBO NABO Featherweight title.

Meanwhile, #5 WBO Lightweight ranked Jose “Chelo” Gonzalez (18-0, 13 KOs) will defend his WBO Latino Lightweigh title versus a foe to be announced in a 10 rounder. In a 10 rounds fight also, former Olympian and former Amateur World Champion, McWilliams Arroyo (10-1, 9 KOs) will face veteran Luis “Titi” Maldonado (36-7-1, 27 KOs) for the WBO Latino Flyweight title.

In an 8 round fight, former Amateur Youth World Champion Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez (8-0, 7 KOs) will collide against dangerous Erickson Martell (8-3, 6 KOs) for the WBO Youth Flyweight belt.

In a 6 round bout, Philippine prospect Allan Tanada (11-1-2, 5 KOs) will face Gamalier Rodríguez (17-2-3, 12 KOs) in the featherweight division, and former Olympian McJoe Arroyo (9-0, 5 KOs) will face an opponent to be named in the superflyweights. Also at 6 rounds, unbeaten Camilo Pérez (6-0, 4 KOs) will fight versus Kadel Martínez (2-2) in the superbantamweight division.

In 4 rounds fights prospect Kenneth Díaz (4-0, 4 KOs) will face Joanthony Vázquez (4-6-2, 2 KOs) in the junior welterweights, and in the same division John Karl Sosa will make his pro debut against a foe to be determined.

WBO ANNOUNCES REFEREE AND JUDGES FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, BRONER-PEREZ TITLE BOUT

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referee and judges who will work on the world title bout between WBO Junior Lightweight (130 pounds) champion Adrien Broner vs Eloy Perez this Saturday, February 25 at the Scottrade Center, Saint Louis, Missouri in a Golden Boy Promotions presentation.

Valcarcel reported that for the first title defense of Broner (22-0, 18 KOs) against Perez (23-0-2, 7 KOs), the referee will be Genaro “Gino” Rodriguez, from Puerto Rico.

While, the judges for Broner-Perez are Michael Pernick from Florida, Ted Gimza from Illinois, and Jerry Griffin from Missouri. WBO supervisor for this fight will be John Duggan from Illinois.

Broner won the title last November 26, 2011 when he beat Vicente Martin Rodriguez by a third round KO. The fight Broner-Perez will be shown on HBO this Saturday at 10:00 p.m (ET).
