UNBEATEN heavyweight Richard Towers is up for winning his first professional title at Manchester Velodrome on Saturday June 16.
Sheffield’s unbeaten faces German Michael Wallisch for the vacant EU heavyweight crown on Hatton Promotions title stacked card.
The ‘Road To Glory’ bill also features a vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) interim super-bantamweight title fight between Scott Quigg and Rendall Munroe, Martin Murray in championship action and Towers’ fellow steel city fighter Ryan Rhodes facing Sergey Rabchenko for the vacant European light-middleweight crown.
Towers, 32, said: “This is the biggest fight of my life and when I get in the ring I will do my job.
“I have already been to Gran Canaria for warm weather training earlier this year and I am training three times a day.
“I am already feeling the direct benefit from these sessions and the Wallisch fight cannot come quick enough.”
Wallisch, 26, stands 6ft 5in tall and won all eight professional contests with five of his victories coming inside the distance.
But he will be dwarfed by 6ft 8in Towers who is unbeaten in 13 professional fights and rapidly closing in on men like Dereck Chisora, Tyson Fury and David Price.
Towers added: “I am blessed to have a brilliant team around me and all I have to do is be dedicated and live the life.
“I will fight anybody and I am getting closer to fighting guys like Fury and Price, but only when my team tell me it is right.
“I have only been boxing four-and-a-half years, but I have picked up this sport quickly.
“I have already sparred with Chisora and Fury. They are men I respect, but when I meet them they will discover I am unorthodox and different.”
There will be a talent stacked undercard that will include former Commonwealth welterweight champion Craig Watson (20-5), unbeaten hopefuls Adam Etches (7-0), Scott Jenkins (4-0), Ryan Doyle (1-0), Jimmy Kelly (1-0).

Frank Buglioni to fight on 4/28
Unbeaten super-middleweight sensation Frank Buglioni aims to follow in hero Joe Calzaghe’s footsteps at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 28th April.
The fast rising star from Enfield, north London, has his fourth fight at the historic venue where Calzaghe won the British title in 1995 and features in a six-round contest with his opponent to be announced shortly.
Buglioni’s promoter Frank Warren is staging the first professional championship boxing event at the Royal Albert Hall in 13 years, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456/Virgin Ch. 546).
So far Buglioni’s had two back-to-back first round wins over Sabie Montieth in his debut and then Paul Morby, and in February he beat Ryan Clark over four rounds.
And like Calzaghe with his Italian ancestry, 23-year-old Buglioni has the talent and looks to become the next big star in the division which has produced some of Britain’s best ever boxers.
“I’m very excited to be boxing on the show at the Royal Albert Hall where the biggest names in British boxing have all fought,” said Buglioni.
“When I was a kid, Joe Calzaghe was a big hero of mine so to fight at the venue where he won the British title is a real honour and it was watching Joe’s amazing fight with Jeff Lacy that made me decide to turn professional,”
“It’s only my fourth fight on Saturday so I’m a long way off fighting for the British title, but it’s an ambition of mine to win the prestigious belt that the best in Britain have held.”
The young talent has sparred with current European champion James DeGale and British and Commonwealth Champion George Groves and has trained with former WBC World Champion Carl Froch.
He added, “It’s been a great experience to spar with James and George who are both top quality fighters and they each bring different strengths and qualities to the ring,”
“While I was in Sheffield I trained with Carl who was great to be around and learn from especially his attitude towards training which was an eye-opener,”
“I’ll find out who the opponent in the next day or so and then I can’t wait for Saturday, I’ve got plenty of fans coming down to support me and it’s going to be a great fight night at the Royal Albert Hall.”
Billy Joe Saunders’ Vacant Commonwealth Middleweight title challenge against Tony Hill and Matthew Hall’s Final Eliminator for the British Light-Middleweight against Sam Webb headline the show.
The undercard features some of the best talent in Britain including unbeaten welterweight Bradley Skeete; light-welterweight Bradley Saunders; welterweights Freddie Turner and Dean Byrne and light-heavyweight Andreas Evangelou.

Kronk Boxing Returns to Pechanga Featuring Harrison v Amador & Sarnoi v Alcantara
April 23, 2012 – Legendary Boxing Figure Emanuel Steward, and his famed Kronk Boxing, return to Pechanga Resort & Casino for another evening of world class fights.
The Main Event touts budding Kronk Superstar Tony “Super Bad” Harrison (6-0, 6KOs) of Detroit, MI, vs. Ishwar Amador (11-9, 7KOs) of Riverside, CA in a clash of Junior Middleweights. Amador is a veteran of 20 fights with some big wins in his career, while bring solid punching power to the table.
Tony Harrison is considered Kronk’s next big star. The lanky and deadly Harrison has won all six of his fights by KO, possessing the Kronk patented lethal right hand. Harrison is a throwback to the days of stalking power punchers like Kronk Hall of Fame alumnus Tommy Hearns.
On March 3, 2012, Harrison set the crowd on fire as he destroyed Harun Akcabelen with a devastating third round knockout, on the undercard of the Wladimir Klitschko vs Jean Marc Mormeck heavyweight title fight. Just one week later, Harrison knocked out Alfred Hall in two rounds.

Sarnoi is not your typical fighter, holding a Master’s Degree, but is as tough as nails in the ring. Sarnoi has ambitions of becoming a politician, and ran for City Council in Monterey Park last year. He learned his craft in the gyms of East Los Angeles and was a top amateur and is steadily climbing the ladder to contender status.

Also featured on the card is Kronk Welterweight Jacob Bonas (0-0-1), a very highly-touted fighter from Emanuel Steward’s Kronk stable. Bonas takes on Eddie Cordova (3-1-1, 1 KOs) of Utah. Bonas is another fighter to look out for, keeping the Kronk legacy going strong.
Emanuel feels that Bonas will be a solid champion and PPV fighter very soon, calling his current roster, “his best bunch of home grown fighters, since the days of Thomas Hearns, Hilmer Kenty, Milt, Steve Mc Crory, Duane Thomas, Jimmy Paul, and Michael Moorer.”
The remainder of the card features some great local matchups, including welterweight Hector Serrano (13-3, 6 KOs) of Perris, CA vs TBA; Jr Middleweights Robert Crespo (3-1) of Riverside vs John Worthy (2-3) of Ontario, CA; along with Welterwieght Giovani Santilan of San Diego, who makes his pro debut vs Johnathan Zamudio (1-1-1) of San Francisco.
Steward is one of the premier trainer/managers in boxing today, a successful promoter with Kronk and current HBO lead boxing analyst.
